The 2003 Season - 2 mega teams face off and The Keeper of the Tankard is born!

After a dismal 2002, the Super Chargers came back to be the first to officially be dubbed The Keeper of the Tankard.

2003 Season Highlights:

The two largest star studded teams came down to battle in the GOBFFL Championship, The Rum Division Champs, Peagram Beavers, lost to the Whiskey Division champs, Super Chargers, for the GOBFFL Tankard.

2003 was the first year the long TD bonus points were implemented.

The Peagram Beavers set the Highest Single game score of 160 Points in a regular season game, they also set a playoff record of 163, a game in which they failed to start the right QB in Jeff Garcia which would have made it 199 point game.

The French Tickler's QB Peyton Manning had arguably the QB Season posting a 17 Week High Point total of 360 Point. He also set the weekly high, scoring 49 points in a single game.

The Ribbed Trojans once again found a gem in Priest Holmes has he had 368 points on the year. Which turned out to be the most by any player, not only RB. If not hurt later in the year Holmes would surely have broken 400. The Beavers Clinton Portis had not only the Highest score for an RB in 64 points, but it was the highest weekly total for any player in GOBFFL History.

The Beavers 3rd Round pick Randy Moss had the best 2003 at WR scoring 285 Points. Da Kamehameha Wang Banger's Joe Horn had the highest total at WR for a single week with 41 points!

The Beavers again got a great pick in Tony Gonzalez who posted the best Tight End Numbers with 146 points. But it was the Anheuser Busch Whacker's Shannon Sharpe that had the best week at TE with 30 points.

The Super Chargers had the best overall D on the year with the Super Bowl Champion Patriots. They also had a weekly high of 29 points!
