The 2004 Season - The year of Voodoo

What the hell just happened? In what will be remembered as one of the most bizarre seasons ever, The Wang Bangers go undefeated! The first time ever a team has done so. The Busch Whackers were able to tarnish the Bangers perfect season with a tie, however the Bangers can wave the undefeated flag none the less.

2004 Season Highlights:

Da Kamehameha Wang Bangers go undefeated (15-0-1) with only a tie to stop them from a perfect season. They go all the way to win the GOBFFL tankard.

Both The Blunt's Donovan McNabb and the Creekers Peyton Manning had 55 point weeks in the QB slot. Which are also GOBFFL records! Peyton Manning seemed unstoppable at times breaking Marino's TD record. But it was The Super Charger's Daunte Culpepper who had the yearly high at QB with 494 points!

The Woodchuck's Priest Holmes had a 42 Point week high at the RB spot. But in what again was part of the Banger's freakish season, Tiki Barber was the RB high score on the year with 309 points.

Again at TE, Antonia Gates had an amazing 175 point year for the Bangers. Outdoing Gonzo by 2 points.

In what may be the most bizarre FF week ever, the Bangers and their Voodoo win in an erie WTF week, when Drew Bennett scored a WR season high 47 points! That's right "Drew 'Who the fuck is Drew Bennett' Bennett" scored 47 points.
It was the first week of the Playoffs and The Bangers luck had finally ran out, or so we thought. The Fighting Irish had beaten the Bangers, it was 91 - 59, the Bangers were down by 32 points and the Irish still had all star TE Tony Gonzalez on Monday night. The Bangers only had some sub-par reciever named Drew Bennett, again, it was over. Unknown to the rest of the Leage that Friday head coach Johnny Utah had forseen his doom and caught a flight to Hawaii to do the unthinkable. It was this blatant intervention by the Fantasy Gods that spelled doom for the rest of the league in 2004. After this freak week and bizarre performance the rest of the league knew the Bangers were untouchable. Cries of the sacrificed farm animals that Banger coach Johnny Utah bled on the Hawaiian Island that Monday night can still be heard, haunting throughout GOBFFL history.
